Mike has been with NK for over 28 years. Originally focusing on healthcare design, over the last ten years he has been leading many of the firm’s sports, recreation and athletic venue projects. Mike is proud of his contributions to the design/development of a new emergency department for a local community hospital and the design/implementation of a state-of-the-art football training facility for Rutgers University. Currently completing the construction phase of a sports and recreation center for a Division 1 university, he is also in the midst of designing an outdoor performance venue in South Jersey, as well as ongoing accessibility consulting for several universities. He is a member of the NJ Barrier Free Subcommittee.

Mike is an EMT and has been riding with the ambulance squad in his town for almost 15 years. He is a member of the NJI DMAT Team, a medical response team with the Department of Health and Human Services. As a member, Mike has responded to numerous deployments, including hurricane relief in Florida and Louisiana, national specialty security events, and other natural disasters. In 2011 he was voted Team Member of the Year as the Chief Logistics Officer for his work in coordinating the response effort in Haiti just days after the earthquake.

An avid skier, Mike continues his love of the sport as a member of the National Ski Patrol. He lives in Florham Park with his wife and two children. As both kids are competitive swimmers, Mike can frequently be seen leaving the diner with coffee in hand on early weekend mornings as they head to the next swim meet.
