Project Overview

The County College of Morris (CCM) Performing Arts Department’s successful and growing programs created the demand for new space that was not only larger, but also dedicated, flexible, functional and professional. A new Music Technology Center, appended to the existing Dragonetti Auditorium, enhances the presence and image of the Performing Arts Department and its programs by consolidating performance-focused operations within a single location, designed specifically for the desired uses. Initially envisioned in NK’s comprehensive campus master plan, the new facility offers enhanced functionality and provides a state-of-the-art environment for arts-based study, performance and collaboration. The two-story, 21,000 square foot facility accommodates a “Black Box” experimental theater lab, multiple recording and teaching studios, music technology labs, music practice and instruction spaces, as well as new dressing and scene shop facilities to supplement the existing theater.
